Haven't been to New Orleans in a while? Don't worry, we have you covered. Here's a brief photo tour of the urban core of one of the country's most beautiful cities.

Central Business District

Originally Faubourg Ste. Marie, an 18th century suburb, the Central Business District emerged as the city’s epicenter for professional offices during the early 20th century. Its tallest building, the 697-foot One Shell Square, was the tallest structure in the Southeast when it was completed in 1972.

Canal Street

Named for a canal that was never constructed, Canal Street is known as one of the widest roadways in the country to have been classified as a street. Historically, it has served as the dividing line between to original French/Spanish Colonial-era city and the newer Central Business District.
