River Street
Characterized by its 200-year-old cobblestones and restored 19th century cotton warehouses, is a popular entertainment and dining destination along the banks of the Savannah River. Much of what exists today is a result of a $7 million, late 1970s waterfront project where 80,000 square feet of abandoned warehouse space was converted into galleries, restaurants and specialty retail boutiques.
