8. Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary 712 LG Griffin Road

For the animal lovers in all of us. Noah’s Ark is a nonprofit animal sanctuary that started up in 1978. The Ark has an array of animals, from horses, bison, and deer, to cougars, parrots, and monkeys. This sanctuary is also home to the famous “trio,” which you might recognize from the National Geographic Channel. This “trio” is made up of a lion, a tiger, and a bear, who get along and coexist like friends.

Noah’s Ark rehabilitates hundreds of animals and returns them to the wild each year. They also advocate for responsible animal ownership. Their facility offers several different animal habitats and nature trails for you to explore, free of charge, unless you would like to give a dontation.

9. Centennial Olympic Park 265 Park Avenue W. NW.

Centennial Olympic park has a bit of everything to offer its guests. Created in downtown Atlanta to commemorating and leave a lasting legacy of the 1996 Olympic games, this park covers an area of over 20 acres. While Centennial offers “typical” park activities like picnicking or walking, you can also stop and admire the sculptures and water gardens in the park. Additionally, Centennial Park offers free games, concerts, family-fun days, holiday celebrations, and a fountain show.

10. Underground Atlanta 50 Upper Alabama Street

Atlanta’s “city beneath the streets,” Underground Atlanta has over a 100 years of history. Nderground Atlanta covers 6 city blocks, is three levels high, and totals 225,000 in square footage. There is a vat amount of shopping options, restaurant options, and entertainment to choose from. Guests also have the option to pick up a self-guided hidtory tour brochure, or partake in an almost hour-long walking tour about the history of the area. They also offer different sorts of events, such as their Wednesday foodtruck lunch.
