Sights and scenes: Tallahassee's Gaines Street corridor

A look at the rapid transformation and revitalization of Tallahassee's West Gaines Street Corridor.

The Block at Stadium Centre is a student housing development located at 799 West Gaines Street. The Block includes 114 units and 11,128-square-feet of ground floor retail.

The Lofts on Gaines is a 24 unit apartment complex that was built in 2011 at 833 West Gaines Street.

Looking west at College Town on West Madison Street, one block north of Gaines Street. College Town was developed as a mixed-use entertainment district within walking distance of Doak Campbell Stadium in 2013.

51 on Madison is a private club for Seminole Booster Members in College Town. It operates as a restaurant on FSU home football game weekends.

The Flats at College Town is a mixed-use development with 89 student housing units. The development was completed in 2016.

The Eclipse on Madison student housing apartments are located at 742 West Madison Street.

The Edge at Stadium Centre is located on the former site of the Tallahassee Iron Works.

College Town is located on property once occupied by the former R.O. Collins Iron Works.

Located at 705 South Woodward Avenue, Madison Social is a popular restaurant and entertainment venue in College Town.

Urban Outfitters at College Town is located in an 18,000-square-foot warehouse that was once occupied by the Durra Print Company. Opening its doors in 2014, Urban Outfitters is a retailer geared toward college students.

The 7-story Hotel Indigo Tallhassee College Town was completed in 2020.

Located on Gaines Street, the hotel includes 143 guest rooms and prides itself on the industrial history of the Gaines Street corridor.
