The Jaxson's 2023 walking tours and events are on the books. Join us each month for guided tours of LaVilla, Downtown, historic Springfield, and for the first time, Murray Hill.
Events by The Jaxson are back! By popular demand, we’re hosting neighborhood walking tours for LaVilla, Springfield and in a first for us, Murray Hill. Also keep an eye out for Jaxson cofounder Bill Delaney’s monthly Secret Jacksonville walking tours, virtual events with Ennis Davis and more.
Secret Jacksonville walking tour: Saturday, Jan. 15

LaVilla Then and Now walking tour: Sat. Feb. 25
One of Jacksonville’s oldest predominately African-American neighborhoods, in the early 20th century the LaVilla neighborhood west of the Downtown core blossomed as a hub for Black music, culture and performing arts so vibrant it was dubbed the “Harlem of the South.” Join The Jaxson to explore some of LaVilla’s remaining historic sites and new projects now attempting to bring life back to the venerable neighborhood.

Springfield walking tour: Sat. March 25
Join The Jaxson for a Women’s History Month-themed walking tour of Springfield, one of Jacksonville’s most famous and popular historic neighborhoods. Springfield is home to some of Jacksonville’s best examples of historic architecture and important women’s history sites.
