Now open, the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center (JRTC) at LaVilla officially replaces the Rosa Parks Transit Station as the main downtown bus transfer facility, serving most Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) regular and express bus routes, the Skyway and the First Coast Flyer Bus Rapid Transit network. The JRTC at LaVilla is located at 100 LaVilla Center Drive near the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center. It will serve as the JTA’s new downtown bus transfer facility, administrative headquarters and intermodal hub with direct connections to the Skyway and the Intercity Bus Terminal, which serves Greyhound, Megabus and RedCoach lines.

On the ground level, customers will have access to indoor and outdoor waiting areas, restrooms, ticketing and interactive kiosks. To maintain a safe and secure environment, the JTA has established 24-hour security at the JRTC with armed and unarmed security personnel and JSO officers. The Rosa Parks Transit Station will continue serving Routes 10, 19, 86 and the First Coast Flyer Red Line (109), and the Skyway. The east half of the Rosa Parks Transit Station will be closed and prepped for future transit-oriented development projects. Customers can use Route 19 and the First Coast Flyer Red Line to transfer between the Rosa Parks Transit Station and the JRTC at LaVilla, and the First Coast Flyer Blue Line and Route 25 to transfer from the Kings Avenue Station to the JRTC at LaVilla, as needed. Bus schedules are available through the Nexbus mobile app, Google Transit and atschedules.jtafla.com.

The 67,000-square-foot JRTC at LaVilla features 21 bus bays, seven bus staging bays, kiss-n-ride areas, a paratransit drop-off area, spaces for rideshare services, and space for future micro and e-mobility solutions like bike and scooter share services. Connected by a pedestrian bridge over Forsyth Street, a LEED Silver Certified Intercity Bus Terminal housing Greyhound, Megabus and RedCoach opened in April 2018. The JRTC also includes a Skyway people mover station. However, the Skyway will remain closed until further notice, in coordination with the local “Safer at Home” executive order to promote social distancing.
