Inside Orlando's new intermodal terminal facility

Virgin Trains USA won't arrive for another two years but in Orlando, the train terminal is ready and waiting. Today, we take a look inside the Orlando International Airport Intermodal Terminal Facility.

The South Airport Automated People Mover (APM) which connects the Intermodal Terminal Facility (ITF) and Garage “C” to the airport’s main terminal.

Construction is underway on the extension of the Virgin Trains intercity rail system into Orlando International Airport.

The airport’s new ITF consists of approximately 1.3 million square feet of terminal space.

The main concourse inside of the ITF will eventually connect with the airport’s south terminal which is currently under construction.

The +$2 billion south terminal expansion project is anticipated to be completed by late 2021.
