Bartram Park: A suburban millennial paradise?

Despite well publicized excitement about downtown revitalization, young adults are fueling rapid growth in suburban areas like Bartram Park across the country. Is it by choice, or necessity?

2. Montevilla at Bartram Park consists of townhomes built by CalAtlantic Homes from $229,990. The development is marketed as offering luxury Villas in an urban setting located in the heart of fast-growing South Jacksonville.

6. Bartram Park Preserve is Bartram Park’s only neighborhood of single family homes. The 600-lot community is being constructed by builder Mattamy Homes. The community, with plans ranging from 1,266 to 3,687 square feet is marketed as being located in a zone for top performing public schools. Schools include Bartram Springs Elementary, Twin Lakes Academy Middle School, and Atlantic Coast High school.

9. Carlyle at Bartram Park is one of several apartment complexes within Bartram Park. Carlyle at Bartram Park has rental units ranging between 780 and 1,372 square feet priced between $991 to $1,574 per month.

10. The Carlton at Bartram Park is a luxury 395-unit apartment development featuring rental units ranging from 592 to 1,587 square feet, priced between $910 to $1,670 per month. Now under construction, a second phase will bring an additional 355 apartment units to Bartram Park.

13. The Carlton at Bartram Park is a luxury apartment development completed in 2016 that is over 95% leased. A second phase, adding 355 more apartment units is now under construction.

17. Brooks Rehabilitation Center operates a 76,000-square foot, 100-bed skilled nursing center and a 61-bed assisted living facility at 6209 Brooks Bartram Drive. The first phase of the $35 million campus was completed in 2013.

19. Bartram Village Shopping Center is the latest retail development at Bartram Park. Situated adjacent to the I-95/St. Augustine Road interchange, Bartram Village features many restaurants, service centers and other businesses.

21. Completed in 2004, the Shoppes at Bartram Park is the largest and oldest shopping area serving Bartram Park. The Shoppes at Bartram Park providing residents with access to restaurants, salons and shops, the retail center is anchored by Publix grocery and Kohl’s Department stores.
