Railyard District/Durkeeville

60. 548 Minnie Street

Load King Manufacturing is in the process of making improvements to a historic warehouse at 548 Minnie Street.

61. Beaver Street Improvement Project

Construction is coming to an end on the $9.2 million Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Beaver Street improvement project between McDuff Avenue and Stockton Street.  The project involves resurfacing and pavement reconstruction, replacement/addition of sidewalks on both sides of the street and widening travel lanes from 10 to 11 feet. 63. Jacksonville Farmers Market

Plans continue on a significant facelift and customer accommodation project at the Jacksonville Farmers Market. Building permits have been pulled for an array of improvements including wider sidewalks, metal awnings and safety bollards along all building facades and handicap access improvements.  Of significance, the permanent metal awnings will eliminate current makeshift tarps to shield sun-sensitive products being sold by the market's vendors.  In addition, the project will add signage along the facade of building sheds, identifying the market's growing list of tenants.  Completion on this $560,000 project is anticipated to take place this summer.  $150,000 of which is being provided by the Northwest Jacksonville Economic Development Trust Fund.

64. Payne Avenue Walk

Construction is underway at 1065 W. 11th Street for the development of Payne Avenue Walk.  Adjacent to the S-Line Urban Greenway, the development will consist of 12 affordable single family structures.
